Faroe Island Indoor Rowing
The Faroe Island rowers will participate under Danish World Rowing membership with their own Flag. Five strong lightweight women and one u/19 man are going for the medals as they have strong experience in Indoor rowing and were very succesful at the recent European Rowing Indoor Championships in Paris.
We wish them good luck in Toronto.
The Championships are set for February 25-26, 2023 in Mississauga, Toronto, Canada. Rowers from all over the world will participate in the event. Also rowers from the Nordic countries will participate in the indoor regatta.

A new challenging discipline has been introduced: World Rowing Versa Challenge #1 in which Finland and Sweden will have particiipants.
Education of new national umpires within the Nordic Rowing Federations has for some years been done annually via internordic umpiriing seminars thus ensuring that nordic umpires have the same high standard.
Recently a weekend seminar was held in Gothenburg, Sweden with 30 umpires participating from all the Nordic Rowing Federations. The seminar included among other information the latest news from Worldrowing as well as topics of mutual interest. Later this spring an internordic umpiring class for aspiring new umpires will be held in Copenhagen. If you take interest in becoming a rowing umpire please contact your National Rowing Federation.
