FRIDA SVENSSON RE-ELECTED AS CHAIR OF WORLD ROWING ATHLETES’ COMMISSION

‘Following the elections and appointment of the member of the Athletes’ Commission, the outgoing and new members met for the first time during the 2022 World Rowing Joint Commissions Meeting in London last month, and voted for the position of Athletes’ Commission Chair.  In accordance with the Athletes’ Commission regulations & Election Procedure, Appendix S5 of the World Rowing Statutes, the World Rowing Council ratified the Commission’s proposal last Friday, and Frida Svensson from Sweden has been appointed as Chair of the Athletes’ Commission.

Frida Svensson will serve as Chair for a four-year term until 31 December 2026 and sit in the World Rowing Executive Committee and Council with full voting rights.’
