2023 Nordic Open Junior Championships
Nordic Rowing Federation together with Farstarodden in Stockholm, Sweden invite all Junior rowers from the Nordic and other countries to participate in the 2023 Nordic Open Junior Championships June 17-18, 2023 at the Farsta Lake in Stockholm.

Faroe Island Indoor Rowing
Faroe Island to send strong team to Canada for World Rowing Indoor Championships.
The Faroe Island rowers will participate under Danish World Rowing membership with their own Flag. Five strong lightweight women and one u/19 man are going for the medals as they have strong experience in Indoor rowing and were very succesful at the recent European Rowing Indoor Championships in Paris.
We wish them good luck in Toronto.
2023 World Rowing Indoor Championships
The Championships are set for February 25-26, 2023 in Mississauga, Toronto, Canada. Rowers from all over the world will participate in the event. Also rowers from the Nordic countries will participate in the indoor regatta.

A new challenging discipline has been introduced: World Rowing Versa Challenge #1 in which Finland and Sweden will have particiipants.
Internordic Umpire meeting
Education of new national umpires within the Nordic Rowing Federations has for some years been done annually via internordic umpiriing seminars thus ensuring that nordic umpires have the same high standard.
Recently a weekend seminar was held in Gothenburg, Sweden with 30 umpires participating from all the Nordic Rowing Federations. The seminar included among other information the latest news from Worldrowing as well as topics of mutual interest. Later this spring an internordic umpiring class for aspiring new umpires will be held in Copenhagen. If you take interest in becoming a rowing umpire please contact your National Rowing Federation.

Swede new Commission Head
FRIDA SVENSSON RE-ELECTED AS CHAIR OF WORLD ROWING ATHLETES’ COMMISSION
‘Following the elections and appointment of the member of the Athletes’ Commission, the outgoing and new members met for the first time during the 2022 World Rowing Joint Commissions Meeting in London last month, and voted for the position of Athletes’ Commission Chair. In accordance with the Athletes’ Commission regulations & Election Procedure, Appendix S5 of the World Rowing Statutes, the World Rowing Council ratified the Commission’s proposal last Friday, and Frida Svensson from Sweden has been appointed as Chair of the Athletes’ Commission.
Frida Svensson will serve as Chair for a four-year term until 31 December 2026 and sit in the World Rowing Executive Committee and Council with full voting rights.’

EMG 2023 in Tampere
All Master Rowers: now is it time to start preparing for the 2023 European Master Games which will take place in Tampere, Finland from June 29 to July 2, 2023. This is a great opportunity to meet and compete with other international rowing peers and other master athletes representing more than 30 sports disciplines. Denmark win Nordic Cup 2022
While big parts of continental Europe had record high temperature, low temperature and heavy day rain Saturday and strong headwind Sunday was not the most optimal conditions for a summer regatta. However, all participating rowing teams conquered the elements smoothly and the 2022 Open Nordic Rowing Championship in Tampere Finland became a successful regatta. A big complement to the Finnish Organizers for setting the frame for fairness and inter-nordic friendship between the rowers.
The Nordic Cup which is an ongoing competition among the Nordic Federations was this time won by Denmark with Norway as runners up followed by Sweden and Finland.
